1. Introduction
Protecting your data is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Migamor GmbH ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Migavibe platform.
Note on Scope: Since our service targets users in the European Union (esp. Germany), we process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
Platform Focus: Migavibe targets heterosexual singles. We also operate sister platforms: Migagay.com (gay/lesbian) and Migaqueer.com (LGBTQ+).

2.1 Information You Provide to Us (Account Data)
When you create an account, RSVP to events, or contact us, we collect:
- Full name and Gender/Salutation
- Email address
- Date of birth (for age verification, minimum age 18)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically (Usage Data)
When accessing Migavibe, our systems automatically record:
- IP address (anonymized)
- Browser, operating system, and device type
- Pages visited and time spent

- Location data (only at city/region level, based on IP)
Note on Payment Data: We do not process payments. Participation in events on Migavibe is monetarily free. We do not store bank or credit card data.
3. Purposes of Processing and Legal Bases
We process your data for the following purposes and based on the following legal bases pursuant to Art. 6(1) GDPR:
3.1 Provision of Services (Performance of Contract - Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
- Creation and management of your account.
- Processing event registrations (RSVPs).
- Communication regarding event updates or cancellations.
- Vetting of Event Organizers.
3.2 Marketing and Communication (Consent & Legitimate Interest)
Since Migavibe is a free service, we are funded by marketing and lead generation.
- Email Marketing: Sending newsletters and offers for related services of Migamor GmbH. This takes place only after your express Consent (Double Opt-In) pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
- Existing Customer Relations: Where legally permissible (e.g., § 7(3) UWG in Germany), we use your email for direct advertising of our own similar goods or services (Legitimate Interest - Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Data Sharing
4.1 Within the Platform
Basic profile information (first name, age, photo, city) is visible to other registered users and participants of events you RSVP to. This is technically necessary for the function of a dating platform.

We share data with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (Data Processing Agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR):
- Hosting providers (server infrastructure)
- Email delivery services (for notifications and newsletters)

4.3 Third Country Transfers (Switzerland & International)
Migamor GmbH is based in Switzerland. An Adequacy Decision by the European Commission exists for Switzerland; the level of data protection is considered equivalent to that of the EU. A separate authorization for the transfer from DE to CH is not required.
Insofar as we use service providers in the USA or other third countries, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the Data Privacy Framework, if certified).
5. Tracking and Analytics
5.1 Matomo (Privacy-Friendly Analytics)
We use Matomo for reach measurement.
- Operation: Matomo is hosted on our own servers or servers in Europe. No data is passed to third parties (like Google).
- Anonymization: Your IP address is immediately anonymized (the last 2 bytes are masked), ensuring no inference to your person is possible.
- Legal Basis: Processing is based on our legitimate interest in optimizing our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Since we use privacy-friendly settings (no persistent tracking cookies without consent), separate consent is not required.
5.2 Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager. This service itself does not set cookies and collects no personal data. It merely triggers other tags (e.g., Matomo) which may collect data.
5.3 Geo-Localization (MaxMind)
We use MaxMind GeoLite2 to display local events. This is done based on the anonymized IP address. No precise GPS location is collected without your separate permission.
